From the Play-In to the Final

The format largely mirrors Worlds 2025. What's new: a four-team Play-In to make room for the 19th qualified team.

01 · Play-In

One spot in the Swiss

Four teams face off in a double-elimination bracket, entirely in Bo5. The draw, with no seeding or regional restrictions, took place on October 10. Only the winner joins the Swiss Stage.

02 · Swiss Stage

Three wins to advance

16 teams, five rounds: each team plays an opponent with the same record. Three wins qualify, three losses eliminate. Matches are Bo1, and become Bo3 whenever qualification or elimination is on the line. Teams from the same region cannot meet in Round 1, and no matchup is ever played twice.

03 · Knockout Stage

Single elimination in Bo5

The eight qualified teams play a single-elimination bracket, all in Bo5. The two 3-0 teams face 3-2 teams; the other matchups are drawn on October 31.

Fearless Draft

In Bo3 and Bo5 series, a champion played by either team can no longer be picked by anyone for the rest of the series. Long series push players well beyond their comfort picks.

The qualified teams

Fifteen teams go straight to the Swiss Stage. The other four go through the Play-In in Los Angeles to win the last spot.

Play Worlds 2026 on Bet on Bush

Selections open with the Play-In on October 15. All 19 teams and every player are available: build your team before each match day, just like during the LEC.

01

Bo1 matches

One player per role plus a coach. No more than two players, coach excluded, from the same team.

02

Bo3 series

Up to three players from the same team, but never two teams facing each other. A Swiss match day can mix Bo1 and Bo3: each match keeps its own format.

03

Bo5 series

Play-In, quarterfinals, semifinals and the Final: your whole lineup, coach included, comes from the same team. Pick your side carefully.

Build your team for Worlds

Field your players from the Play-In and score points in every Bo1, Bo3 and Bo5 all the way to the New York Final.
